Disasters and Emergencies


The Nebraska DHHS has created emergency procedures for handling public health emergencies. These laws include regulations for monitoring, reporting and limiting the spread of communicable diseases and bioterrorism agents and threats, such as anthrax, smallpox and the Ebola virus. Nebraska DHHS has also established laws that address the need to reduce the vulnerability of people and communities to manmade and natural disasters.
