Chronic Disease and Injury

 

Nebraska laws and regulations governing chronic diseases and injury prevention address a broad array of conditions and ailments by establishing and regulating registries of patients who have certain chronic diseases, screening programs, and communicable disease reporting and tracking. Some laws also create treatment programs for medical ailments like renal failure and tuberculosis. All of these laws create programs or establish responsibilities for the Nebraska DHHS to improve public health.
